Pearls are organic gems and require gentle care. We recommend the "Last On, First Off" rule: put your pearls on after applying perfume and hairspray, and remove them first at the end of the day. After wearing, simply wipe them with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove any natural oils or perspiration.

• South Sea Pearls - The "Queen of Pearls" The most valuable and rarest variety. Appearance: Large (8mm–20mm) with a soft, satiny glow. Colours: Classic White, Silver, and rich Gold.
• Tahitian Pearls - Naturally Exotic - The only pearls that are naturally dark without dyeing. Appearance: Famous for "Peacock" overtones—shimmering greens, purples, and greys. Colours: Deep Charcoal, Silver, and Eggplant.
• Freshwater Pearls - Versatile & Organic - Grown in rivers and lakes rather than the ocean. Appearance: Known for a wide variety of shapes, including unique "Baroque" styles. Colours: Naturally occurring pastels like Lavender, Peach, and White.
• Akoya Pearls - The Classic Choice - The traditional round white pearl. Appearance: Smaller in size (2mm–9mm) but with a sharp, mirror-like luster. Colours: Bright White or Cream, often with a pinkish overtone.
  
  
  
  

We advise against wearing pearl jewellery while swimming or showering. Chlorine, salt water, and even soaps can damage the pearl’s delicate nacre (surface) and weaken the silk threading or gold settings over time.

Pearls "breathe," so they should not be kept in airtight plastic bags or safes for extended periods, as this can lead to dehydration. Store them in a soft fabric pouch or a separate compartment in your jewellery box to prevent harder gemstones like diamonds from scratching their surface.

The main difference comes down to rarity, size, and luster. While Freshwater pearls are versatile and accessible, South Sea pearls are the "gold standard" of luxury jewellery.

• Rarity & Value: South Sea oysters produce only one pearl at a time over several years, making them extremely rare. Freshwater mussels can produce dozens of pearls at once, making them more common and affordable.
• Size: South Sea pearls are significantly larger (typically 8mm–20mm), whereas Freshwater pearls are generally smaller (2mm–15mm).
• Luster: South Sea pearls possess a deep, satiny "glow from within." Freshwater pearls usually have a softer, more surface-level shine.
• Color: South Sea pearls are famous for their natural Silvery-White and Deep Gold hues. Freshwater pearls are known for natural pastel shades like lavender, peach, and pink.
